How Can Sickle Cell Anemia be Treated?
I m looking for a physician who specializes in Sickle Cell Anemia. My niece is presently in the hospital in Atlanta and her Sickle Cell is now making all her body swell, it s now added about 30 pounds to her small frame and the doctors can t figure out why. Do you know of a doctor who specializes in Sickle Cell in the Atlanta area?

It can not be cured totally as it is a genetic disease. Symptomatic, supportive and blood transfusion will improve her quality of life. Avoid trauma.
